The SFTA exists to provide resources, programs, and leadership to promote and grow the game of tennis to people of all ages, genders and origins in Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities.
The Sioux Falls Tennis Association is proud to rename the Sioux Falls Tennis Association Scholarship to the Mary H. Thompson Scholarship in honor and recognition of Mary's eighteen years of service to the SFTA. These scholarships have been established to promote and honor one male and one female Sioux Falls High School tennis player who wishes to continue his/her education at an accredited post secondary institution. Each scholarship winner will be awarded $500. All applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2010. Please click on full story for an application form.

Save the date as 18-time Grand Slam singles champion Martina Navratilova and three-time Grand Slam singles champion and 1996 Olympic gold medalist Lindsay Davenport headline the inaugural Tennis Festival of the North April 9-11 at Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minn. The Festival features both on-court and off-court sessions, a vendor fair, equipment demos, an exhibition featuring Davenport and Navratilova, prizes and much, much more. The 2010 USTA Northern Adult and Junior Tournament Schedule books are now available online. These booklets are only available via the Web site so you can get the latest information on every tournament in USTA Northern. The document will be updated as changes occur so please check back as the year progresses.

The Community Tennis Development Workshop is a conference offered to Community Tennis Associations (SFTA) that offers unbeatable programming and networking opportunities which help grow and keep tennis viable and alive in communities across the US. Chris Dummermuth is among 10 people chosen for induction into the South Dakota Sports Hall of Fame. The 10 will be inducted at a banquet April 10 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Ticket information will be released at a later date. For Chris's accomplishments please click on "read full story".
Mary Thompson, executive director of the Sioux Falls Tennis Association, is stepping down after several decades of running the organization. A community celebration was held Tuesday, October 27th to honor her service to the SFTA and USTA. Please click on "Full Story" to read about Mary.
