The SFTA exists to provide resources, programs, and leadership to promote and grow the game of tennis to people of all ages, genders and origins in Sioux Falls and the surrounding communities.
Mary Thompson, executive director of the Sioux Falls Tennis Association, is stepping down after several decades of running the organization. A community celebration was held Tuesday, October 27th to honor her service to the SFTA and USTA. Please click on "Full Story" to read about Mary.
O'Gorman won its third straight high school girls tennis title and Theresa Petrasko, the Knights standout No. 1 singles player, etched her name among the tennis elite by claiming her third consecutive championship.
Tennis returns to Augustana Campus with dedication of the new Huether Tennis Centre. The community is welcome to use the new, lighted courts on the Augustana campus. Please click on "read full story" for details.
The Sioux Falls 18U Advanced Junior Tennis Team won their regional tournament held at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis on July 29-31. They will advance to the National Tournament in Mobile Alabama October 29-Nov 1 representing the Northern Section. Team members are Joey Bosch, Brad Entwistle, Jamison Goetz, Mical Johnson, Theresa Petrasko, Kevin Rance, Meg Townsend and Elliot Czarnecki. Congratulations and good luck at nationals.
